Just occured to me

As I matched one set of documents with another, using the intermediary of an excel tracking spreadsheet of my own design, I had the fleeting thought that putting pieces together is kind of like talking to myself through time, through paperwork. And then I realized that such a process (such an internal interaction, with different time/space iterations of oneself) would make a lot of sense to someone who perceives themself as a collection of various parts; and would make very little sense to someone who perceives themself as a Whole (the illusion of Self).
